Even the 323's don't compare. No offence meant obviously. There's just so much more acceleration. There's still some room for improvement though.
You never really thought I would just leave it as it is did you?
I'm thinking...
exhaust - same as yours SS
Cone air filter with cold air feed / shroud from engine
Is there any benefit to chipping a standard 2.5 apart from to remove / raise the rev limit?
Have kept Claire happy by putting my Baur on e-bay. Hopefully no-one will buy it.
Finally - all you guys who run SPAX suspension - what settings do you usually run for fast road use?

Despite the humidity and the fact I'm sweating buckets, I started swapping some bits onto the 323.
Clear front indicators

The Alpina cam cover and alloy strut brace.

Also bled my brakes.

and cleaned the centre caps

Finally in went the Motorsport steering wheel and leather gear knob. If all goes to plan it should have a full Recaro interior by next week. I'm also thinking of the same exhaust as Silver Surfer but £499 is a lot of money.
Thanks to Jimmy the ECU has been chipped and its a properly fast car now.
Just need to lose that black kidney grill but hopefully going to swap with Mr Mobster at the weekend. Also got a nice front spoiler in the pipeline.

Glad your happy with the performance mark, any issues give me a call but you wont have any with my experiance with these chips!!!, the more you drive it and hack the better the ecu learns your driving skills and it will adjust to that and give you more....
BUT like all bmw ecu`s when you disconnect it from the battery completely, it will lose the way you drive so you will have to teach it again basically, so if the battery gets disconnected, and re-connected, start the car and let idle for 10-20 mins but dont rev it this way it learns the ambient air temp to adjust AFR then its normall again!!

I'm gonna get one of those battery cut off's we spoke about mate - the one with the fuse that allows a small current for clocks and stuff. Hopefully it'll be enough for the ecu?
Once the Baur is sold I'm going to order the oil pressure / temp guages. I'll have to find a pod to mount them like yours.
If anyone has any cheap'n'cheerful car ICE for sale I need speakers and CD head unit.

Thats ok but you will need to make up brackets, below is what ive had in mind from what ive seen and it seems more practical!!RetroBeemer wrote:I think this is the sort...

I would go for this one but to make sure the terminal is same diameter, sure it is but its the best one to go for or something like it similar!!
Or below is a link to ebay on various types...
