Seems to be working again...
It is a pretty nice daily driver, but living in Amsterdam with a car like this isn't too good for your heart... I've had it broken into (broken driver's side window) and had several parking damages. Fortunately I am really well insured so any damage is instantly repaired. Unfortunately they don't pay for a dented kidney, which I have about once a year due to parking pigs... So I buy 'bout every used kidney I can lay my hands on, right now I have five nice ones in stock :)

Know what you mean about the kidneys.
When I bought my e21 the kidney was also damaged, replaced it by a new one and since she's not my daily driver I hope it stays like that for a while :D

Nice car! 8)
How long did it take you to do the body work?
How long did you work on it every day?

Thanx Tjaard! Whatever happened to the brown tinted windows..?
Unfortunately, since that might not have been clear, let me confess that I don't do that much work on the car myself... No room, no time, probably not enough knowledge (well I do know quite a lot about E21's but to put things into practice is a whole other ball game ofcourse :)) So the bodyshop gets all the creds for making it look as it does. And I get the creds for putting a shit load of money into a 24 year old car :(

 they are with a new ower who bought the Iberischred 323i some time ago ... I had to move so no more room to do the work on the car needed  and that was a lot since the previous owner did a bad job fixing the car.

But somehow I managed to buy another (henna) red 323i about a year ago and put it in a rented storage. It is being sprayed now so it should be ready this winter.

Nice! I like the retro striping (which you're obviously are going to lose when it's resprayed...).

The striping is original BMW and was proberly ordered by the previous (1st) owner ... car has about 93.000 KM.

Your car looks great 8) what month (1981?) is it? I notice you have the facelift type but wit the older style headrests, just like mine.

I believe it's March '81. It's imported from Germany in 2001 though. I have the old style headrests since a while ago I bought an interior that had those. I still have the square ones, but I like the shape & fabric of these better. I also had a 4-cylinder ribcord interior for a while, which you can see in one of the pillar detail pics. But when I found a really nice 6-cylinder pacific interior, the ribcord obviously had to go :)
