I don't know is the honest answer? I have the word on the CEO and it was him that I spoke to on Wednesday but we shall see. Right now I can afford to wait and live with scraping a few speed humps. If I can get a written commitment from them I might be prepared to hang on. If not I can always just go back to Longlife so it's no great drama.

Oh mobster, thats funny cos a mate of mine called barry made a deal with janspeed also to do an exhaust if he mentions it in the performance bmw mag and turned out that the mag mentioned the exhaust but not enough and janspeed got back to him asking for more money and it all went to court basically was all a con and had to pay up ... all the shit was going on e.t.c. he kept going back to get this done and that done as the exhaust was made with mild steel and not full stainless steel and kept knocking here and there un the chassis, at the end he took it off and went to another company to get one made up for half the price and he was happy.... mark stick to fritz bitz 6 branch!!! dont bother the e30 on it they probably wont do a good weld job on it and may blow e.t.c.

that saying.. you get what you pay for i suppose..

I'm not gonna worry about it Jimmy. If need be I'll just get Longlife to do it. The system on Silver Surfers car looks wicked and I'll be happy with that.

Meanwhile, the postman came to my flat today....

I know I'm biased but those rims look f***' awesome!

He ran off when I asked him to carry the boxes inside!

I tried that number a couple of times but couldn't get through? I sent a text too but no response.

So, for the time being, I just fitted some ditch-seeker specials whilst I work out just how wide I can go without any rubbing issues.

I also want some good quality locking wheel bolts. Anyone got any suggestions please guys?

Those rims are NICE!

I think McGard are supposed to be good, BUT- I once had a car with locking wheelnuts and no key. I took it to a local garage to see if they could remove them, and the guy got the locking bolts off quicker than I could remove the none-locking ones!

AND- I had my 17s nicked off my E30 years ago. Broken window, got the locking wheel bolt tool out of the boot along with the toolbox. So instead of just losing the wheels I also had to replace a toolbox and a window, and clean all the broken glass off the passenger's seat. And the insurance only offered £100 as the wheels were two years old (not sure what their logic was on that).

So now I don't bother, I'd rather lose a set of wheels than lose a set of wheels AND have the car broken into AND mess about with insurance.

Thanks for the comments about the car guys. Much appreciated. I think we have some fine examples of e21's on this site. It would be great if one of the magazines arranged a dyno shoot out for the e21 or if we could all get to a meet somewhere for some decent group pics.

Finally managed to get my car booked in for a full stainless sports exhaust system although I'm going to leave the manifold till the new year. Performance is pretty good for the moment and I'm more concerned with just being able to get over speed humps.
Hopefully, I have managed to track down a full black leather Recaro interior. Actually I HAVE found one but I'm still in the process of persuading the guy to sell it to me. Someone else had first dibs on it but they have yet to come through with the cash.
If I do get it I'll be selling my current Recaros though so if your interested just PM me and I'll give whoever's first the first refusal.

Apart from that my car is running fine - touch wood! I've just worked out my average mpg over the past few weeks and it came out at 30.5mpg which is a pretty good average I think. On a long run I can get closer to 40mpg. The only negative thing was the sunroof handle snapping but they don't look very strong anyway.

I plan to do an oil and filter change this weekend although I am still undecided as to which engine oil to use? I can't really afford the expensive, fully synthetics so am looking for a medium priced quality oil. I'm thinking something like Millers? Any suggestions are welcome.

I'm hoping to go and collect my BBS front spoiler this weekend although I need to get it painted before I can even think about fitting it. I'm also thinking of removing the black, plastic panel that's between the rear light clusters. Assuming the paint looks just as good underneath of course? I also want to start looking at doing the single wiper conversion. I have found a blanking plug for the hole left by the passenger side spindle so it's just a case of increasing the sweep of the remaining arm and finding an arm itself that looks a little more trick than the standard one. Once again, if you have any suggestions I'd be glad to hear them.
