Well, I have no choice on what I put on the fronts now, it's got to be 8" x 15" as I've already bought the dishes.

right here are some updates on the car,

started work on the arches last night, but only got one cut.

started by cutting out a section of metal as shown
Image

the removed metal looked lik this
Image

then cu out the inner wing, but leave slighty longer as shown in pic
Image

then using a large hitty stick i then bent the inner arch up to meet the outer till the gap is completely closed
Image

i then got my friend to weld it up, had a go myseslf but just couldnt get on with there ancient mig welder so let him just get on with it
Image

and finally i got a little bit bored so i debaged my bonnet, most people on here will eat my alive for this but hey i dont care lol :)

I remember doing the same job when I turbo arched my 2002. Well worth the effort.

Didn't the race cars keep the roundel?

Progress probably stalled due to arc eye and UV burns for the guy welding with no mask. Seriously stupid. I did some welding wearing a short sleeve polo shirt and had sore arms for days after, burnt face like that must be horrific. Even if he closed his eyes he could still get flashed, seen people coming in to hospital with arc eye - anaesthetic drops, patches both eyes, someone to take you home and put you to bed then hope there are no permanent burn scars on your corneas.

If you haven't got a welding mask, don't weld.
