I could say the same in the way, when nissan were making there cars back in the 80`s anything they made were all around economical driving whilst bmw then were making cars that sucked the fuel dry when starting the car from point 1 to destination, not forgetting having to pull in to the petrol station for fill upsoldskoolio wrote:i dont mean to offend anyone......but the difference between jap crap and jap shite is marginal

I see your point and have nothing against Jap cars in general. Sure enough they're mostly comfie and cheap as chips to put right if they ever break down. I love some of the old offerings like the 80's nissan skyline gtx, the 1st gen toyota celica gt etc and some newer numbers like the Z cars, evos etc
but as for some of the newer shite that most manufacturers (not just Jap) are offering these days (not naming any specifics), its simply shocking.
eg the nissan figaro......wtf is that all about!!
on another note..... hope to be at ace this monday, but in someone else's e21!!!

Yeh I'll be there hopefully with Oldskoolio, going to pick up my car in a couple of hours fresh from the body shop.
Though I have a feeling it will be going back into the garage very soon, to get the shocks fitted (and probably the wilwoods at the same time). Perhaps also get the rough cold idle sorted there once and for all too..though a small part of me is hoping it's gonna work out too expensive so I can just throw an E30 M20 2.5 1.3 Motronic block in there instead!
Jap cars, German cars, I don't give a damn which car I drive as long as it looks cool! Had an e30, couple of celicas, a civic and currently just like Alpina I'm pushing my wifes >40 mpg 1.0 micra aka the toad
