it may increase braking distance, but a good system won't. and, IMO, in an 'of f*ck' situation...i bet it will stop quicker and you can steer whilst braking.
changing the stock calipers with volvo 240 sounds good cause the pad surface area is bigger but , my stock calipers with stock pads i guess has enough power to lock the rotors.
so without enlarging the rotors , will there be a big difference ? the best answer can be given by the buddies who did volvo caliper swap ofcourse.
maybe the abs system of volvo can be applied to the volvo calipers ? after 4 caliper swap. (front and back)
Apparantly bosch do a retrofit ABS kit to fit older cars, have not found it yet.
I have not started to upgrade my brakes yet. I only want to do it once. Thinking about changing rear drums to discs, volvo girling calipers upfront, and ABS system.
I dont want to buy a thing until i have a complete shopping list of parts
that i know will all fit together.
Is it e30 suspension all round? Understand that means new subframe and arms.

E30 and e21 have diferent shocks. E30 got the steeringarms on the front and the e21 on de backside...
I used to do it but i'll forget it now.. Too much work...

deears i need to know if i make a caliper swap with volvo 240 for my E21 is it fit with the 6 cyl rotors ? and also i need to know what's the brake p€ad i will use volvo one or 21 ?
