I think your right in that it was a lack of space. I imagine the diff etc, were in the way. They definately put it down to a size issue. It's a pretty hardcore car though. I think it's just about been homologated for road use now. In Germany anyway. It won't hit the rest of Europe for a few months more and America won't get a look in.

I usually like TVR but that diffuser looks like it was knocked up in a garden shed!

Dont forget the tvr speed 12 had almost 900bhp+.. so a diffuser was very much needed!! e21? i dont know about that one... a ducktail spoiler would provide the downforce needed... (hey retro!) what might be of more use would be a flat floor undertray maybe? with a good front splitter? but then again if you are having to go this far maybe the e21 is wrong car to start with? mine feels fine at around 150mph... how much faster you guys gona go than that?
e21 335i gone but not to far.

angle the rear spoiler upwards at the front of the spoiler to create lift ie opposite of down force.. better still add a turbo or two to a s38 engine.. that should just about drift

i know the escort lads remove most of the bottom of the rear panel when they remove the wheel well in the boot, as apparently it acts like a parachute (obviously not that bad but that kind of effect?) this guy seems to be doing something similar with his e30

so its not that an e21 doesnt need a diffuser, its that the e21 needs 900hp!

900 + bhp :!: give those europeans a run for there money in the big power stakes... ie norway ect.... they seem to start with a minimum of 1000hp... madness. then you should fit a diffuser.. no one will question that..

Liking the red and black, not sure about designs over it, but if your daughter likes it then that's all that matters :D
