Welcome aboard slapper 8) :D

You gotta paint the front grills to match the dark black gloss of the kidney grills. Otherwise it stands out too much.

Looking fwd to seeing the finished product :)

Cheers

updated pics

Post by tonberry »

back in feb i was talking bout ideas to make car more track friendly and ultimately a track car (did threads on m20 power etc) well heres a bit of an update of whats been happening for my daily driving car
basicly i had some cash and some parts lying around from the previous e21

around july when things started hitting the fan dropped 2 cylinders, no oil pressure etc on dyno day but it was going to be fixed in the week following, basicly 3 days after oil surge occures while struggling to rev to 4400rpm D: and bye bye engine but i already had got an eta engine for build up only thing was now build up wasnt going to happen for a while since i need to drive around so in goes the eta engine with bilstein suspension, ok car not on road for few weeks get it back get some new tyres :p (they're ok in the wet too) clutch feels like its going out but got HD clutch being made up and was locating a 5spd box. driving home from work that day gearbox goes

so off the road again for a while with 5spd box + short shift and HD clutch also swaybars front n rear,
brake wise i was looking at other E21 but couldnt decide so far so i just replaced solid discs with vented rotors, ebc green stuff pads and braided lines

now shes running a treat a little more poke but still want more, handles well, very grippy and still more to come...
now for pics

Looking good mate. Although never a big fan of the b45 wheels, these sure look good on your car :D

Nice work and make sure you post pics of the buckets!
