Project - 320 TSi
finally paid for turbo imlet so just have to wait for it to arrive now. will take many many pics when i get all the bits here. postage worked out quite cheap in the end which is good although im still stupidly skint already this month.
also bought engine of drjim so once i figure out a good place to keep the engine where i can work on it then i can start the turbo project at last, whoop whoop.
just found a guy aswell who is going to lighten and balance my crank and flywheel for £50 so thats another bonus, next month will just have to buy some bearings so a can start actually rebuilding the engine
if anyone has any bits kicking about and wanna donate then please let me know
also may have found a new set of rims but gotta wait a couple of days to confirm

Image split rims will make dish's for just about n e thing so not an issue really. They are 2 piece rims though and the back space is wrong so no point in me buying them really, I will keep looking I think.
Good news though have done more work on the car, and got a new cylinder head which i will explain when I get to a computer n not my iPhone

right some new mods and parts for the car,
after my little excursion to fritz at the weekend i have done the following
fitted my new wing mirrors to the car, the base plates look wank! but unless i get some lazer cut at cost then there is not much point. Ben (duracell) knows a guy that can do it so i may get a few knocked up out of alloy. here is a picture of the wing mirros fitted to the car

its quite strange the different in noise after fitting these from the wing mirrors. much less wind resistance and buffeting when you wind the window down. i know its not gonna give me any greater peformance but every little helps right???
welded in the role cage at last, but not the front bars yet, also sprayed it white and some of the inside of the car black, whilest i had my bucket out aswell i spaced up the front a little so to give me a better seating angle. definatly saved my back on the 3 hour trip home from somerset to north o london.
quick pic of some of my not too bad welding, havent done any in a while so i think its pretty ok

My best find of the wknd was a 520 M10 south african head.
it is the Big port and Big valve head as you can see from the pictures and also has some inserts ready for drilling to install injectors into the head so i dont have to modify my century turbo inlet when it finall arrives from america.
here are a few pics of the head

with of course the Matt black rocker cover.

the Head with its dustbin sized valves, can wait to fit this on
think im going to bolt on this head on a cheap head gasket and see what the low down running problem is with my current engine, will give me a chance to solve any air leaks aswell and any other problems. Me and Ben possibly think might be a chipped valve which is causing me issues. i guess will soon find out.
finally a little picture of some other bits i found at fritz, a offset fuel rail for the right angle on the head which will have to be modified and a front pully. gonna buy a steel trigger wheel for mounting on ready for aftermarket managment.

although i was originally going to use mega squirt, Dave from Fritz has advised me against it and will quite happily fit Omex for me at a very cheap rate and as he has done lots before im inclined to let him get on with it.
my next update will be rebuilding the head i think, just aquired some head stands of a merc techy and will get it home tonight.
oh also my clear indicators have arrived so will try and get those on at lunch time
