yeah I can do that, the polo needs selling anyway. But then the E21 still needs lots of work after those bits...aesthetically body-wise and interior...

Lol oh dear poor beemer!

I honestly don't mean to complain but it's the first time I've lived away from home and I have 2 old cars and...most importantly...I'm a woman so can't help it sometimes lol

It would be ok if someone was helping me out but I'm single and live pretty far from most my friends now...just hard times...cue violins lol!

I always think: "So what, I'm driving a car I like." And the costs you have at your E21 are the same as on a modern car.

Last year, I drove a meeting with my iX Baur...with some of the iX-specific spoilers attached with ducttape!

And about the thing you can't repair yourself: just look out for someone who fixes cars as a part of his hobby. Maybe someone of this forum?!

Sexy Beast! after Ray Winstone? 8)
My offer to do work on your motor still stands. I've done craploads of servicing on the Rover (timing belt, water pump, alternator and PAS belts, plugs, oil and coolant change) and replaced the head gasket on my mates 306 diesel so feel like a mechanical god at mo!

Glad she looked cool as I drove her to work this morning. Journey was fine although she started revving again.
I am going to get to work on a proper list of all things that need doing, in order of importance methinks, so will update you when I have that.
All help is appreciated though and offers made are fantastic...am actually excited about her again now...

And after being told that "Sexy beast" makes her sound like a sexual predator, I am in the process of finding a better name for her whilst I waste time at work

"sexy beast" reminds me of ben kingsley in that film.... blue bell sounds a lot softer/nicer..... my mates called mine the "red baron"(335i) :? 8)
also an "excited sexual predator"(sexy beast) should be on a adult friend finder site or behind bars me thinks

Haha true true!...Red Baron...I like it...Sounds mischievious!

No thoughts yet as to new name for her, drove her to work and back again today and took it to a BMW place asking about the spring for the weber (thing?!)...not much help though.

But work is due to start now methinks!
