its true its amazing how many annoying rattles you simply cant hear by turning up the that favorite cd! (or my case, tape.

)
uk e30 325i's didnt have lambdas. in the uk, you do need cats and lambdas from 1st august '92 which coinsides with the e36 launch an the newer engines.
think they came in much earlier in the us due to the smog regulations.
cant you just disconnect the system?

Hi
It runs without the lambda possible in limp mode
Very easy to add just weld a lambda bung into your exhaust

if its an early e34 m20 then its the same engine.
im not sure how the lambdaed system works tbh. must have been an added in after thought?
if all else fails then you could have a wiring loom and ecu shipped from the uk?
have you joined e30zone? theres a chap known as brian mooore on there, theres nothing the doesnt know about these 80s beemers.

thats an idea, about getting a different loom,will it still work with the 5 series ecu? i l ask on e30zone about that
jason, with fitting the lamda, is their a specific placement, this is what i need to know because my plan was to fit it like you suggest, i was just checking to be sure , ask someone who had done it already
cheers guys

Yeah as it is a narrow band sensor with no heater element as close as you can get to the head, try and copy the e30 location

its ok.
id do away with the lambda personally, but its up to you!
isnt it why the catted lambda version is more like 160bhp? rather than the 170bhp were used to?
