When you take your mudflaps off, please do not do the traditional thing and burn them.

I would like to have them to put on my car, might go on the track slug on thinking about it.

I like mudflaps.

Cheers for comments ( apart from mark you can fuch off  )Drjim the mudflaps are yours. Nas how was the ride in big 16s. Did it ruin the handling. A bit of work is always expected with old cars but that's part of the fun. I don't think it's turned a wheel in over 5 months and then got abused on the way home (top sped test etc etc to relieve the boredom. I can't wait to get cracking on it but taking the day off to get it and the weather has put me so far behind at work. I'll probably just about manage the service and exhaust this week.
Any bits and peices people are selling I'm looking pm me. Suspension steering wheel, brakes, diff gearbox etc etc and I need to get it taxed as I want to use it.
Also wheel offset and width picture examples would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Jamie

Nice.Desert Storm.The Return. :thumbsup
Don't throw the mudflaps away cos they're like flared jeans. You know, every few years they come back.
Fuchs?I'm having a hard time coming to terms with that.I cut my teeth in the VW world and Fuchs are my favourite wheel of all time, but on a BMW? :nah
OEM is the way forward.

changed the oil (none at all in it :( ) the oil leak is coming from behind the timing chain cover and will require further investigation, the exhuast i was sent was the wrong one so they are sending a new one on monday and the brake calipers are fooked the pistons are badly pitted so im going to have to do the brake upgrade early. What do you suggest brake upgrade wise and where is the best place to get them and for how much. E30s are a lot easier to locate bits and information for (though they dont look half as cool).
the colour is 50/50 love hate amoungst friends and family im deffo in the loved camp.
what do you think of these wheels?

Check Nas thread in tech section for brake upgrade walk through. Rally Design sell calipers and Nas & I should have the mounts sorted soon.

Wheels are different and that's a plus point in my book.

I had 15s but its same difference. I liked the look but stretched tyres feel harsh and everytime I hit a minor bump in the road it felt like as if id driven over an I.E.D. handling felt ok but was too scared to really take it to its limit. When you have 200hp it just made me think my car is pointless so sold them.

Those rims look cool. Kinda remind me a little of mine. Who makes em?

i can get a batch of brackets made up soonish..

as it stands im not going to be taxing or using the car any time soon :( . the wheels are 7x15 compomotives with a low offset so not too much stretch ill have a look for the calliper but as it stands the car is not safe. and need to sort the coilovers out so ill stick it in my mates barn while I start locating parts. Im up to page 75 on Marks mIb thread I cant stop reading apart from a quick trip to the fridge for a cold one. its very inspiring and that M52 looks so right in there.
my mate bought this today ebay item no130646197246 he has two already and wants me to sort paint im thinking henna red jagermeirter graphics any other suggestions?

Yea marks thread is a long long read. Plenty of ups n downs and all sorts of other stuff. The owners secton is a wealth of info. My build thread is only 20 or so pages but I tend to only post on it after major work. If I'd thought they'd be daft enough to accept that I'd have bought it myself. That's an absolute steal at that price imo, if its as good as they say. They were stupid ending the auction.
