No it is a 5 speed, but from an E36 M3, so 5th is 1:1 like 4th in the E21 boxes. Its joined with a 3.25 diff and 225/45/13 tyres.
4th at 5000 is 78mph, 7000 is 110mph
5th at 5000 is 96mph, and 7000 is 135mph
Only using 3, 4 & 5th on track, was taking it fairly easy just getting used to the car again on track and the new power.
trying to load a vid of a run up the start/finish straight using more revs, which means more noise

You are absolutely correct Jeroen, the main issue I had was the brakes. They could only cope with about 3 laps before getting too hot with a long pedal.
Fronts are wilwood powerlite with EBC Yellows which are pretty much finished now. Thin pads probably didn't help with heat management and I'm not 100% I was able to bleed them correctly before the day.
I've got a set of Forged Superlites ready to go on but will need new adapters and bigger discs, which will also need new larger wheels.
So not a great day pussy footing around worrying about the brakes, but at least the drivetrain held up ok and hasn't got any noisier.
The only other issue was I had the sump a bit full of oil due to the mods its had. Under full load and revs it caused a bit of smoke hence keeping it down to 6.5krpm.

I do like the GT2. He must have been surprised to see an old e21 hanging on in there behind him?

Impressive indeed!
As for the brakes, I think you need larger diameter discs to cope with the heat, and more bite, perhaps some Hawk pads if available for the Wilwoods, otherwise Ferodo. Believe both will do a better job than EBC.

Well the new Brake setup is nearly complete.
New discs drilled for 4x100 and stainless centring rings which press fit onto the hub:
After drilling and tapping a new mounting hole in the hub they fitted nicely,
Compared next to the 323i discs and powerlite calipers:
I mocked up a soft aluminium bracket for mounting caliper, this was used as a template for final parts in stainless:
New brackets have been made, I just need to take some pics of them.
