kind of. i used the arm (leaving the rubber bush in it) and cast a bush in it to fill the void in it and sit on the big washer on that side. so its now part rubber and part poly. also removed the other old arm on the other side and did the same to that too.
wheres a pic, ive got one on the camera.......ah yes......

deffo feels better.
its wierd, its always felt like the wheels moved back in the arches on that first touch of the brakes. doesnt do that now.
general driving just feels like its a bit more precise.

got a new welder! a clarke 150 te turbo!

thought id break myeslf in easy, so i remade the drivers bucket seat frame to lower the seat cus its too high now the cage is in and i keep banging my head. it feels much better to drive, being sat lower, but the steering wheel was then too high!
so after work ive drilled and chiseled the twist off security bolts out that hold the column to the dash cross member. ive fitted some longer bolts and put two spacers inbetween to lower it. feels prefect! might think about shortening the gear stick by an inch too i think?? hmmm. 8 ball gear knob?

I found the spare tips and shrouds I had for my old (now Gonzo's) welder. Now you've started patching your car they will come in handy - free to anyone who turns up at my unit next Friday!

There's way too much solid metal in your car!

Looks much better now. I'm hoping this means you'll be keeping it and have stopped thinking about 5's and 6's?

That's looking really good Murran! What will you do with the paint work on the rear quarter? Will you blend it in yourself? or a full respray? :thumbsup
