Me and everyone else who goes racing or rallying have had it wrong all these years and have clearly wasted our money on fitting quick racks to our cars, as it seems they're totally unnecessary.

Well it looks a bit like i've been through a mafia shootout.drjim wrote:So Duracel, how's your windscreen??
im with ya on this one dude. sorry murran but drifting is nothing like circuit racing, your both arguing the same point. anyway stop butchering this nice chaps thread! lolPaulD wrote:Oh, OK then, I give up! I obviously don't know what I'm talking about as I've only been driving powerful rear wheel drive cars sideways since before drifting had even been invented (it was called rally driving in those days!) and I have only been involved in motorsport for 15+ years!

A Hillmen Avenger went into the gravel at Paddock Hill Bend in front of me and chucked gravel back onto the track. Race was stopped and restarted but most of the gravel was still on the racing line being flicked up by cars infront. I wasn't the only victim that day, even the race winners out front had some chips. I was just the unluckiest one out there it seems.murran wrote:you want a quick rack, you buy one.
i dont, so i wont.
howd you do that to your screen? follow someone into a gravel trap?
or pissed off you next door neighbour, before you found out the hard way that he has an air rifle?

I'm guessing the guy you met is Mattdavethedog007 wrote:Hi Chap good to see another racing E21. I spent most of my choldhood following my dad around who used to race an E21 in the Road Saloons and later in the BMWRDC. Brings back some good memories.
If you ever need a pit crew I would love to come and give you a hand just for the price of a free ticket.
I spoke to the chap who owned the other E21 a few years back at Castle Coombe. Don't know if it is the same chap or not. These cars tend to change hands alot.
Ever thought about running it in the BMWRDC, I still think that a well sorted E21 would be competitive in Class C.
Drop us a line it would be great to have a look at the car.
Cheers

Not sure at the moment, i'll find out what's required from the Transmission guy when my dads dropped it off. I'll let you know the score as and when I do.dthetomc wrote:Who is do the clutch plates in your diff?
