Noice! Jealous about the rims big time, I nearly bought a set for £280 back in the day! The engine's looking sweet, my baur should be running the same lump soon enough. Great stuff

Looks good, that's a bargain! And I think the grey colour suits your car well. Have to see what looks better once they're painted.

well toms been prepping....... or should i say faffing with the engine bay and the front panel as its had a front end bump before we got it and its all wonky.
despite the fact weve said were guna put a new front panel in it at some point he spent 2 hours f*** about with the porter power and his hammer a dolly. so the inner wings are still not even in primer and we only have tomorrow left to get it in a mobile state!

tho im ready on the engine side cambelt and water pump swapped from the e21 lump. e21 tin sump is on. ive put the e21 fly wheel on as its considerably lighter, with the 2.5 clutch on it. sorted out all the exhaust manifold studs, new copper nuts!

oh im a looser too as i for got to take the camera this morning!!

painted inner wings, painted all the stupid brake linkage.

just pipes, wires and put the pedals back together. oil and coolant to go in. etc.

yes, oh yes! :D :D :D :D :D

one thought tho, we hate the e21 expansion tank for the coolant! wana use something else thats more in keeping and smaller? :?

It sounds great. The reaction on the throttle is perfect.

Keep up the good work.

well weve finished everything, bonnet pins (aero catches), strut brace. will post up pics when i take some more.

just driven it back from toms workshop........ its so fast and so angry.
dropped tom off had a coffee at his then got in the car to go. nailed it up toms steep road he lives on, wheels spinning away in 2nd, then bang!!
down to one wheel drive as its popped the n/s outer cv joint!
still drives tho, thanks to the miracle that is a welded diff!

bastard!!!!!!
pmed rob reguarding a second hand one.
im also guna pop in at the local bm breakers (quarry motors) in the morning as they have two e21s in. see how much they want for one.

just cant believe it, i dont see how the extra power would make any difference to the stress on the components when the wheels are spinning???
:?
