E21 323 with E30 323 engine?

Post by Shaneki55 »

Hi guys,

First off I am new to all this so excuse me if I look like a prat with no knowledge.

I am about to buy an E21 323 Baur that needs a new engine, I was wondering if i could put an E30 323 engine straight in? is the wiring the same? the geabox the same? will I be able to use the same drive shafts?

Cheers Guys

Hope you can help.

Shane

If you search 2.5 conversion you should be able to see Murrans and others.

Its a straightforward conversion and will give you a lot more performance, reliability, gas mileage etc.

Use your old gearbox & waterpump, battery in boot, e30 ECU in glovebox and Roberts your aunts brother.

Welcome to the forum too! Pictures of your car????

No photos as of yet, going to pick the car up tomorrow hopefully.

Is it just the block I can fit in or can I use all the ancilleries too i.e manifold, altenator etc?

THANK YOU!! :o :o :o

take your e21 gearbox, exhaust manifolds and motormounts, than you just have to fix the wiring, rest is the same
