E21 tacho conversion

Could someone tell me how to take off the clocks to swap the big clock for the rev counter? Do i need to take the whole dash appart?

Also, do i need the wiring for the tacho or it is already there on the cars with the big clock?

With 2002's you just swap the clock for tacho and wiring is all there. I imagine it's the same with an e21.

you have to take off the bottom bit of the dash under / behind the steering wheel - and theres two grub screws you turn them by hand then the clocks pretty much fall out.
