Like the new upgrades to the board, what bought this on? Is the old PHBB software not supported any more?

Yup PHPBB2.0 is not supported since this year, I think this is the main reason for the new version. I like the PHPBB3 version better, more options, better tools for admin and mods. Looks also better in my opinion.

PHPBB3 does support the option to embed Youtube videos yes. It's up to Jeroen to decide if he want to install this script into the forum.
