retro rides yeovil somerset?

anyone going to retro rides gathering this weekend? thetomc and wizor are heading down with me and a couple of my mates just wondering if anyone else is venturing over?

I've been umming & ahhing all day about this but if there are more E21s going...
What day are you going? isn't the show just on a Sunday?

I would have gone but there will be a big hole where my engine is by the weekend.

I have just discovered i have the whole weekend off :)

unfortunalty i have no retro car but i will be coming down in the smart car. going along the A303 Sat day time so anyone fancys cruising down with me along that route, im flexible with times

You'd have to be a total sadist to want to sit in a smart car on the a303 on a saturday in the school holidays!!!!

That is precisely why my E28 was killed on the way home from RRG09. It over heated crawling at snails pace up a hill near Stone Henge in VERY bad traffic, and there was no where to stop the car. It was either cause a massive tailback or hope for the best... and that's why I was low loadered 200miles home!

I'm going via Warwickshire on the way there, but I'm sure as hell not heading home on the A303 again.

The 303 is always backed up in the Summer months. You'd be better off going down the M4 and cutting across from Bristol.

think im now picking up some yoko's from glouster on the way so i very may well be takeing the M4 there, i know a wicked back road aswell which i havent been down in yonks!!!

and any way the smart has decent soundsystem and aircon so its all good, will take some beers for drinking on the way aswell :)

cant go friday because

A - there is bugger all to do on the saturday day except sit in a field in somerset (been doing that all my life)
B - i have a meeting @ 9 oclock sat morning so will be coming after that.

bring on the holiday traffic mwah ha ha ha
