bmw 2002 vin code help

hello everybody

me n ben need help with a vin code

code is 2752086

its a 1973 registered car however after some searching a found a table which stated that the car is in the last 300 to roll of the production line in 1971/1972.

does anyone else know of a way of tracking the information to its exact build date or build week?

have email'd the bmw car club but they wont get back to me for a while i imagine

Order a certificate of authenticity from BMW gets you the day it rolled out the factory so in Munich I guess they have these data, but I don't know if they supply that date through another channel. If a little less accurate info is good enough this is a worthy link:

the BMW club uk have offered to write us a letter confirming the pre 73 build date if we join

Yup.

I'll find out for you. BMW's own records dont date back that far. I gave them my vin number for my 2002 and they tried to tell me its a E30 325ix built for the American market. Its becuase the structure of the VIN number changed and as it happens, the the VIN number for my 2002 is/was the last 7 digits of the E30. Its alot of hassle buying parts from MD.

On a seperate note, we took delivery of a Brand Spanking Mercedes E250 Blueefficiency yesterday. It broke down today and was recovered back to Mercedes Oxford.

blue efficiancy sucks ass! the injectors fire too often and f*** themselves

also some C class cars have naughty lieing fuel guages whic run out of fuel

oh and our 2002 is apparantly a 750i according to bmw
