speedo going mad

hi all,

Anyone ever had the speed dial go crazy? When i drive faster than about 50km/u my speedo makes a quite loud mechanical scraping sound and reeds about 100 km/u or more.

extra strange: when the car is warmed up, or when its warm outside, it will not occur or only at speeds of about 100+ km/u
