Fritz bitz m10 s/steel manifold for 316...

Post by mk1magic »

Hi
Im looking into the fritz bits m1system for the 316, £400 for the full system and round £380 just for the manifold :? I was wondering if anyone is using one of these and if so, whats the full system like, any good gains from the system and most importantly does it sound good ;)
Cheers
Arron

I have the manifold, I don't think it made that much difference to the performance, but it looks better and the manifold/downpipe are lighter than the standard stuff. It was on my blue 316 with standard centre/rear boxes and sounded the same. it's now on the slug so induction roar through the throttle bodies/cone combines with a cherrybomb in the middle and 2.5" pipe to make it rather loud, I have never heard it driven in anger as I'm always sat in it, but it sounds mean inside. Normally 103dB but it was only 101 at Oulton.

The slug has S14 throttles mounted via an adaptor plate all sucking air through a big pipe and a cone filter.

I think you will find that is a 380 for the manifold and 400 for the rest of the "system" downstream of the manifold

there are 2 manifolds available from fritz for the m10 - a small port and a big port. make sure you buy the right one. think about upgrading your engine to and e30 m10 with bigger valves and ports.

IMO you'd be better off spending the cash on having your head flowed and a new cam fitted.
