new boy! new e21! new project! :D

Post by cale21 »

hey all just got my new project for whats left of winter to get ready for the summer runs.

little bit about me, south wales based but work through the week in somerset as an aircraft engineer for the royal navy, normaly a volkswagen kinda guy but ive owned an e30 not so long ago. so came across this little number and just had to snap it up!

e21 316 dark blue in colour absolutley lovely nik and not alot of rust atall bought for only £1000 and the car only has 32500 miles on it! wheels right now are terrible in my eyes so plans with the thing are to spray anything thats chrome to black and to drop the car on some bbs splits on some coilovers smothe off a few things and just keep it looking clean. hopefully after the sumer im gona put a bigger engine in it and maby go down the berg cup route but im just gonna see how things go :D

ill get the pics up as soon as!

any sujestions, help, opinons would be greatfull!

cheers callum!

Anything Berg cup related will be a winner in my book. Gaz coilovers and deep dish 13'' steels maybe? Looking forward to pics anyway and welcome.

Lovely condition- congrats! As for your clutch issue, I've had it happen twice. First time was the master clutch cylinder, the second time the clutch slave. I think you can get them repaired with new seals otherwise ebay has them cheap. For now you're doing the right thing, even if one your thighs will end up bigger than the other!

haaa yeah think youve convinced me to keep the chrome! the window chrome will need replacing, its not in the best condition!

camber correcting plates?? where can i get those from?

yeah the clutch thing scared the sh*t outa me think ill have a look at those see how theyre dooing, if i just have to pump the pedal to get it working would that just mean that its loosing oil through a seal or that theres air in the system?

also a quick question 13" wheels how are they at clearing standard brakes??

cheers

is it me or are more dub fanz getting into old bmws?

its always easier to start with a very nice one, it means u can spend more on goodies!

you remind me of me a year n a half ago, when i joined this forum. with a stock 316 n a dream lol.

try n read as many threads in the owners section as u can, its a good source of knowledge about the potential of these cars.
