I have following problem with my 323i:
When i start it cold then the engine runs fine at 850-900rpm. But when the engine temperature goes up then the idle speed goes up too. When my engine is at normal running temperature, then the idle speed is about 2000rpm.
Is there anyone familiar with this problem? Can anyone give me some advice to fix this issue?

Re: Iele speed
its one of the most familiar problems there is with the m20, its your extra air slide that might not open or close further anymore and is therefor stuck in one position from its aging proces. The thing is, people who dont know about this try to adjust their engine till it runs low rpm when the engine is warm but when the engine is cold it runs high rpm there. I had a really bad stationary on my m20 so ive been renewing my kjet system and im going to post how it runs soon when i get the fuel lines under the car. Just search around the forum or the some of the kjet files on the internet. The thing i can recommend is look into your extra air slide (provides extra air for the cold engine and normally closes when the engine gets warmer).
