But I have made up my mind that it will be saved!! for 2 reasons really, that its 30 years old and if I scrap it a piece of history will be gone forever, and the fact that my wife says it will never see the road again, and Im determined to prove her wrong. Good enough reason for any man I think
Ive set up a photo bucket album to log the progress of the rebuild, so feel free to have a browse at the pictures of rust etc:

as you can see, it used to be yellow, and has been painted black at some time in its life. body wise the sills are stuffed, the floors need repairing, the front panels is like a cracker, some patches in the rear inner arches etc etc.
ive taken the fuels tanks off this evening, stripped and primed them, luckily they are sound. the front calipers pistons will not move regardless of what I throw at them, so I think new ones are called for, gutted.
next stage is getting the grinder out and start putting some shiny metal back in to the car, as you can see the Baur does not have the benefit of a garage so the aim is to try and get the body sorted before the dark cold nights are upon us again..
Ill try to post the whole resto as we go, (because I think that I will need the moral support!!!
