Broken gearbox mounting point

Post by cdavie2002 »

Bought a manual gearbox but unfortunately its chipped at one of the mounting points. Just by looking at this diagram, can anyone tell me if this is a simple mounting point or does the starter also bolt on here?

Any ideas as to how/if this csan be fixed?

Starter goes onto the bulge on top so for fitting you'll be fine

The missing bit is the bolt hole.

I thought there was a dust cover plate that bolts up to that hole and the other two small lower holes.
Not really needed but I'm guessing two bolts will be enough to retain the plate.
