my car has died on me.

Hi, I've got a e21 325i. I was reversing in my garage when it just stoped. Tryed
to restart when it was dead. It had no ignition & no lights. It's like i,ve taken the battery out.
HELP.

Battery? Probably the earth strap.

Hi mark, yes iv'e tryed that, gave it a good clean with no luck. As the battery is in the back i will check the battery lead
all the way to the front to the electric box (live wire) & hope i find the problem.

Where are you?

Check engine earth strap too.

Mark, sorry for delay, im in st albans herts. Taken out back chairs & front left to follow the battery
cable for live when heavens opened. Yes mark thats a very good point to check the engine earth.
Will check that next.

Hi mark, You were spot on first time, It was the earth on the shock bolt with the problem.
Would you beleive thats what i cleaned the first time, just shows you never trust it only once.
