Unwelcome Tyre News

braved the simply appalling weather to fit my winter/snow tyres on the ZT-T today- which are Michelin Alpins and are fantastic. PS a great idea to run proper winter tyres in the winter
Tyre shop was full of tyres I had never heard of but with tread patterns I recognised
there was an Evergreen tyre that looked like a Khomo Ecsta or Continental- something called a Delinte in 22 inch size that was a copy of the Geolander Yoko tyre
Fine I clearly was in budget tyre heaven
But what he told me was that all tyres are graded A,B or C-- most A grade tyres (whatever the make) now go to China and Japan- and Europe and UK make do with the rest.
Indicative of things to come..................I hope not!
I recently got a set of Toyo 888Rs in the largest 15inch size- special order presumably since they are Grade A and car is in poor down at heel UK?
