I have a boyhood love for old Porsches, and nothing is as classic as the 911. As with any old car they come with their downsides.

This isn't the case if you head over to the guys at Singer Vehicle Design in California. They will custom build you a classic 911, to modern standards. The price? $500,000.

Chris Harris pays them a visit in his latest 'Drive' episode, well worth a watch:



The second video, is about a guy called Magnus Walker. Also in California, he also builds modern versions of the classic 911. His work is more of a hobby than a business, but it's fair to say, that his lifestyle shows how much of a pioneer he really is.



Both very inspiring videos, both of which make me even more determined to make my E21, that little bit more special.

Even though I'm more into original stuff, I can imagine people would like to drive an everyday classic like that. There are more businesses doing that, also with classic Jaguars for example. Back to Porsche, I've visited these guys once a couple of years ago, they did nice work too:
