whats the best colour

Post by mcjjordan »

Hi guys having owns a few E21 in the 90's that were black paint
i have now got a silver one... but the more i look at other members builds i get thinking mine is in need of a lick of paint-

but do i keep it silver or change colour to black?

would it be more desirable in black or is it just me that has an attachment to black E21s???

- what is the most desirable colour for an E21?
:thnx

keep it OEM! at least with color! :launch
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Black looks good when you've just washed and polished it. If you drive it, it looks dirty in seconds. If you're not worried about originality just choose whatever you like best. I think silver looks great. Just don't do it blue as blue e21 look awful.

Why not go half way and have the best of both by going gunmetal.
Spacegrau or space grey is the current BMW colour. I have my X5 in that colour and it looks good, always shiny and doesn't show dirt like black does..

Ascot and Graphite on the Edition S, also see http://www.bmwe21.net/?page_id=137

My 0.02? If you're worried about originality or value, stick to the original color. If you want it to be your dream car and plan to hang on to it for a long time, pick your own favorite color!

How about white, you wouldn't have to many there across the pond would you? Plus you never have to clean it, nothing shows up on white!
