The 2000 NK!

Post by 323baur »

Recently I bought an extra car: a pretty rare BMW 2000 from 1970.

I had for a longer period a crush for these cars. I do like the lines!
They have become rare these days. Rust and no special worth in the past made them not special.
So there are not many left.
This particular one is also an import. I do not know where the birth off this one was, but it is since 2002 a Dutch vehicle.
In the past it pretty good restored and welded. Rust is only a big issue at the front windscreen and the boot. The rest off the car is solid.
The engine is a e12 2liter, I think it will produce around 100hp.
Because off the weight (empty less than 1100kg) and the rear wheel drive it still a very pleasant car to drive.
I bought it for trade...but for this coming season I won't sell it..

The car stood on some black immi Alpina in 17inch, with very bad tires. I still had a second set of 15inch Alpina's so I fitted these today.
It is a remarkable up grade.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Looks sweet like this indeed! BTW I notice you still have a lot of room left on your driveway!
