anyone ever taken their car on the drag strip?

what times did you get?
what time should std vehicle expect to make?

Hi, i expect a standard 323i would cover the 1/4 mile in 15.5-16.0 seconds

modified cars eople have gone much quicker. 12 seconds is quite common for turbo cars, and 14's for m30 power

Agree, what's that with 1/4 mile burning (any 3 year old can do that) and not being able to take a decent turn? That's where the fun is!

In October this year i will be entering my e21 in the 0-1000m sprints, in Temora, Australia

In 1000m top speed is very high, i will likely be hitting the redline in 5th gear, so anywhere between 225 and 250kph !

i expect to do at least 210kph

theoretical maximum speed in my e21 would be 257kph, but that is 7900rpm in 5th gear !!!! crazy.
