coilover woes

Post by gymbabwae »

Hi guys, my rear coil-overs are shot. And introducing a lot of annoying noise into the cabin over short bumps in the road. Does anyone know of an option that doesn't involve buying a new set? I have heard you can get them rebuilt? But at this time i don't know the manufacturer. Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim.

Mine rattles on short bumps at low speeds since they were new. It's the top mounts I think. I don't have any rubber damper on the top of the spring and I think that's my problem

Thanks, i must have been looking in the wrong place on their website. The page i saw was 600 but i think that was for all 4. I'll give them a call. After i look into the top mounts. No point buying new ones if they're going to be just a noisy. I think they are past their best though. As they do not spring back smoothly when you compress the wheel once its off the floor on the jack. And there is quite a lot of dirt on them, with no rubber sleeve to keep it out of the working of it.

Does it not get on your nerves Nas? It drives me mad especially with how many of the roads where i live are in terrible shape.
