Front seat belt mount assembly

Post by Doey »

Wondered if anyone can help ?

I recently removed my carpet and doing so had to unbolt my front seat belts from the car , stupidly i didn't take a picture of how they're assembled i.e which washer goes where and how the spring sits

Has anyone got any pictures or a diagram of how they go together ?

I don't suppose you could repost this picture? Mine doesn't have the springs and I'd like to see how it all fits together before I order all the parts.
At the moment it all just flaps around and rattles...

You can look it up in realoem, see here for a Sep 79 316 for example:

I find bmwfans more user friendly but realoem has more info and more diagrams on line

Thanks for that. I see the parts I need. Mine is just a standard bolt and a load of washers to pack it out so it's all wobbly and loose.

I'm still not sure how the spring fits though. I assume the hooked part fits over the seat belt bar that folds out of the way, but where does the other end of the spring locate?

Sorry to be a div...
