Looks like the right forum!
Hey guys. I tried around in a few forums but u feel like I have found the right one judging by the amount of reply everybody gets. Anyway. I myself have an 83 320is with factory recaros, bbs wheels and some really special air dam and rear spoiler. If I have a picture I bet there's only a few in existence. I have never driven the car because the motor had a good orange sized hole in it. That motor is out and the engine bay has been prepped and painted. I got an e30 parts car that I am pulling the Trans from and I bought an m20b25 that will be going in place of the m10. I am buying new iggy seat covers as the recaros have a lot of damage done to them. If anyone was wondering the 320is has the factory lsd and rear sway bar. Anyway I'm really happy to be here and I think everyone could answer my questions here. Thanks for bringing me in!

Hello and welcome! Do I call you orangatang?!
It doesn't matter, all are welcome here! Look forward to seeing some photos of your car. You're definitely right about being a friendly forum. I'm also a member of a few and this is definitely one of the nicest.

Welcome here! We definitely need a presentation in the Owner's Gallery, with the project planned I guess it will be one for the modified section.
M20B25 conversion will defo be great fun. One of the things to change is the subframe, already noticed your Wanted ad for that. One other remark, the E30 tranny doesn't have a mechanical speedo pickup (has an electronic version at the diff) but there are always ways to fit a different speedo, these days there are even GPS based pulse senders for a reliable drive for an electronic speedo.
Anyway, looking forward to your project topic and let us know if you have any questions! Enjoy the project, and the forum!

Re: Looks like the right forum!
Hey guys thanks for the warm welcomes! I have several photos that I have to upload to my computer. One thing I learned recently is that the 320is was debadged from factory so I do not have the 320i on the trunk. Something I thought I'd have to replace but now I will not. This forum is great.
But yes I am looking for the sub frame and I hope to find something quick as I am getting close to having all my bits and pieces for my swap. I just have to pull the Trans out of the e30 and I'll start from there.
As for the speedo I hope to be able to set something up so It will run off the drives haft. If not then GPS is the way. I do not want to swap the diffs as I want to keep all of the original aftermarket stuff there.
