Beige cloth interior

Post by Lion_UK »

Hello everyone!

I'm a long time E21 fan and fingers crossed will be owning one very shortly.

The car that I've got my eye on has a beige cloth interior and the drivers side bolster has seen better days. I went by my usual re-trimmer who advised that finding BMW cloth from that era is very difficult. Can anyone shed any light on this or point me in the right direction to find cloth so he can do the retrim?

Thank you in advance!

Rare and NLA indeed, perhaps try to source a used seat to use the cloth from?

I have had this same plight, drivers bolster wear in beige. The retrimmer I used can get hold of some similar style/era German materials but no the exact same.

If you do manage to find a source please let me know as trying to find a beige interior from a car being broken is impossible!

I'm making some calls this afternoon for the material - will definitely post if I get any leads.

Failing that, do you have details or photos of what your trimmer can get from Germany? I need a plan B as a tatty driver's seat will really bug me.

Found genuine BMW 0123 Pergament material for £82 + VAT per linear meter. Let me know if anyone needs any so we could potentially bundle the order together and negotiate a discount.

Indeed! Do you have a pic sample or something? Are you willing to organise things?

Probably not much help, but far more worthwhile buying new or new old stock cloth than recycling existing material, which buy now,if isn't worn will have succumbed to sun damage - making it very fragile to work with.

Interested to see images too.
