316 Gear lever excessive play

Car seems to have too much play/movement on gear lever. I am told bush is not avaliable ? and that I need new lever which will come with bush and possibly will need new part of the linkage .

Does this sound right to those who know and is there an alternative fix or does anyone have good s/h parts UK .

I will post a wanted ad if it seems that the above is correct.

My money is on the linkage.



Numbers 1, 7-12, and 14.

I changed all these when I swapped gearbox.

Not sure if it is possible to do without removing exhaust and driveshaft.
