Power Assisted Steering Rubber Pipe Replacements

Post by e21Keith »

Progress is slow....

I'm retrofitting PAS to my 323i and I have a full kit (not the one I bought from a forum member which was just a collection of junk in a box, wish I'd checked the contents sooner).

Unfortunately all the rubber pipes are showing signs of degradation, I've checked with the local dealer and two of them are available by the metre as they have no crimped connectors. The other is a little more complicated but no longer available. Does anyone have experience of having these re-fabricated using the existing or new unions?

Take the old one to a hydraulics specialst like Pirtek and they should be able to make a decent reproduction
