318i Baur TC1

Hello,
my name is Stephan and since May 2007 I'm owner of a 318i TC1 with original 105000 km:

In June 2007 I began to strip the car to make it "new". In september 2008 will be finish the paint job and than it will beginn to complete the car. At time i worked 950 hours with the car and parts.....
In the german forum of the Baur-TC-Club i administrate a thraed about the works on the car. Perhaps you will take a look, here's the link:

Thanks.....
but in the work and paint job the color is changing to "zypressengrün" (green). The details will be creating like this pictures...only the rims will be changing to King 7x15.........

how much colour did you used so far and how much will you use to finish project?

Yes very nice, I was just about to compliment you on it's current paint - have never seen that colour before.
Although I'm sure the respray will look great too.

Oh........wait a moment. I Think i used for primer and filler 6-7- ltr. for all parts............basic-color i will need completely also 6-7 ltr. underfloor an inside included. But this is only the finishing paintjob.

Hello, the original colour call "brasilbraunmet." ....the BMW-paint-code is 154, now the respray is also an BMW-original-colour from the E21 in 1981; code 152 (zypressengrün).
We will see, when the job is done.......

Thats current colour looks nice cos that was the original colour of my car before it was sprayed white to ascot gray..

Looks indeed very nice. I have been following your restauration for some time. I'm currently restoring an E21 320/6 so it's a good learning school.

perfect

..........in the beginnig of my restoring i told too "I'll have time".......I think at first to make the works in about 3-4 Years....now I'm working almost every day

...because I have a lot of fun........
I was writing in the front of this topic: At time I worked 950 hours!.....A lot of time, but still funny!!!
I will look into your thread too, to see how your works go on......wich paint / colour your car get??? the original paint?

Nice to read that you already have worked almost a thousand hours. Keeps me going hahaha.
The colour of the car wil stay "polaris" as it is now. Otherwise i must change it also at the RDW in holland for the papers of the car.
But you will never know if my idea changes.
First I must find the adresses of companies which help me to galvanise the bolts etc.
And mayby I will also sandbeam ( wrong writing maybe) my car. This is not sure yet.
