Yellow high beams on my E21

Post by rasb1 »

I fell over this picture on Google:

I think it looks super cool, so this afternoon I called my local BMW dealer and ordered two brand new yellow high beam lights for my E21 8)
Am I completely bonkers?

Well, the spare part pusher said it wasn't a problem getting them new from Germany, so he ordered them.
32 euro each...

I prefer 4 yellow headlights!

2 out of 4 doesn't look that well.
It's either 4 or none....

Well that's my opinion....

I have them all 4, and I like my frenchy look very much!!

i am actually shocked at the results of this poll. maybe im too young to appreciate the nostalgia of the 70's e21 racer look yellow headlamps, but to me it seriously just looks like a dog has gone to piss on your tire, missed, hit the headlamps, and filled them up.

btw, is there any practical use for yellow headlamps? like, do they illuminate the road better so you can see like you've got 'blue-blockers' sunnies on?

ps. i should really reserve my judgement, my headlamps arent even the right size for the hole they're in

No practical advantage. Just some nice warm yellow light.
Has nothing to do with 70ties nostalgia, racer look or other cr*p!!

Those were the lights in France, back in the 60 - 70 - 80ies.
Even some E30 still have them (even smilies),
as well as a lot of other brands.
They're even hard to find and expensive (if you want new ones).
As I 've said before, I have yellow headlights, all 4 of them.
I like it, and it suits the colour of my car.

In a world of Xenonshit, silver vision, blue vision and other blinding lights, etc... this is a nice (non-blinding)exception to see.

My 2 cents, (yellow too)
