its pretty much just a round flat cap. Brandon had some on his car http://www.e21bmw.net/community/gallery/mim/index.php

can put just about anything in there as long as its the right diameter, might have to double check the centre bore. Id probably just check them and search on ebay for caps, then some decals to go over the top if you want a logo or something on them.

caps seem to be hard to find, an oversize BMW roundel sticker with a metal backing would do the job nicely - get thee to ebay.

ive picked up the plastic/perspex stuff and ive cut the things out myself with a hole cutter. downside of this is they have a hole in the middle.
ive glue gunned them in, look ok really.
ive got some deceptorcons stickers coming. ill post pics when ive finished.

Old Thread Bump:

I custom made these caps for my MiM 1900s

The material is a laser fused plastic done in a Selective Laser Sintering process. I have a few left. Someone was interested in them so I did a google search to see who out there has caps, and ran across this thread.

They are a replica of this style of centercap

+1 I'll be needing some decent caps for my Baur. Can you do them with a BMW roundel???

Hey guys.

I appreciate the interest. Feels good when people enjoy the work you do. I only have 1 set of these caps that I can sell. I don't have my MiMs anymore and the other two sets are spoken for.

As to creating more / creating custom ones. They would be rather expensive. The shop where I had these made before had a 200 dollar minimum, so 4 caps, you do the math. Custom is not really cost effective, but I'm more than willing to take on whatever project you guys might have (for a small fee). I do mechanical design on the side as well as a career. If you had a bunch of folks interested I could see what the cost would be. It'd almost be better for you guys to find a rapid prototyping house on your side of the pond. I'll be glad to ship off the model and you guys can do the group buy local. Easy to ship electrons than it is to ship finished parts  Just send me some nice beer or something? I've had my fun with this project.

If there is one of you that wants the last set of caps, just speak up (100 USD shipped?), otherwise whoever wants to try and do the group buy can contact me about the solid model.

Well they do me no good. What would you spend on them? I'd like a little something for my time and effort here.
