My 'new' 323i - New Pictures!
Picked up my latest purchase from Leeds yesterday - it's my first e21 in 15 years - my first car when I was 18 was a henna red e21 316.
Started a thread earlier about parts for it and ended up posting pictures - the thread address is:
http://www.bmwe21.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8647
Managed to free up a bit if cash by selling the e30 and spending a lot less on this e21.
Let me know what you think...
Paul

Re: My 'new' 323i - new pictures!
Decided to do a bit of an update on the car, and move some pictures I posted in the wrong place.
So, here's the car back in Sept 09 when I got it;

Had lots of problems when I first got the car; new bottom ended needed, new fuel tanks, fuel lines, stater and rear suspension mounts.
Also had bad vibrations above 80mph, my naivety lead me to spend £250 on new tyres to replace the perished rubber on the 13" Mahles in an attempt to cure the problem, but inevitably it was a buckled wheel! Then, as some of you know I sold the Mahles with new tyres for silly money, not knowing their value!
Anyway, I got hold of a set of 15" Mims last December:

I ran these until very recently when I was lucky enough to get a mint set of 15" Mahles with new tyres for a good price. I haven't taken many photos lately, but got this one when I was out yesterday:

I think I'll keep these for a while!
Next up is a bit of body work to sort the corroded rear chrome screen trim, and spraying and fitting my BBS front spoiler.
By the way, the Mims are now on ebay!!

Re: My 'new' 323i - New Pictures!
Thanks for all the kind words guys!
I'm pretty happy with the way it's looking with the new wheels. I now need to find time (and money. Or just money and pay someone!) to sort out the little bits of bodywork that bother me when ever I look too closely (the age old curse of owning a classic!), so that it really is gleaming and sleek and sexy when you see it 'in the flesh'!
I've also got to do something about the ride - it still knocks and clunks from the back end which detracts from the enjoyment factor. I've had it checked by 2 seperate mechanics and still no joy in solving it. I'm wondering if it might just be the firmer ride from having H&R sports springs?? Anyway, when I get the chance I'll bring it to the Ace and ask kindly if one of you can have a listen. I thought about Goodwood on the 6th or 7th, but don't think I can do it
