My '81 E21 315......Some pics, at last...!!!!

Post by Artie »

Here you are my daily runner: an original and unrestored 315, built back in 1981 but first registered in 1983 (five days before than my E30 323i).
It's actually fitted a 318 engine (so not so original as I said), but that was already done when I saved the car from the scrapyard.
Some new tires, new sparks and leads, an oil change, a new radiator, new halogen lamps, etc... and ready to serve as a loyal and reliable daily commuter.
Still a few things to do in my wish list, such as a complete respray, a new set of crossed spokes alloys from an E30, a pair of Hella fog lights and maybe a new steering wheel. Hope you'll like it...

Thank you for your comments, guys...

Rocco: Yes, I'm from Tenerife, as you've said. Given the fact that the car is a classic one, I haven't swapped the original plates for the new "european" ones, those real ugly plates with no provincial identification and a stupid series of random numbers and letters...
And yes, this is the landscape around La Laguna, in the northern area of Tenerife. Actually, I live there
We've got a very damp and foggy weather here in the north. A really enjoyable matter everytime you drive an old Bimmer around the secondary roads :P :P :P :P
Best regards....

oh my, i do miss tenerife. been going for the last 20 years, and i spent a lot of time there in my 20's. (a few years ago). used to go for long vacations as my friends lived/worked there.
i worked in las americas for 6 months one time, but stayed in los christianos. love the island. there is actually a few nice classic cars out there if you know where to look.
i remember seeing a couple of nasty car crashes in the south, when it rained! don't think they were used to the wet.
all the no.plates were like that 15 years ago, thats why i recognised it!
regards, rocco.
