Head has been all welded up, line bored, faced and pressure tested.

Total cost including deliverey and VAT was £282.

Will post up picks when i've seen the head.

They're not the best but do take the eye away from the rusty bits. Garage is who ported my head.

dont be ashamed of the rusty bits, im not ashamed of mine. it just shows the car is well used and has a purpose!

Been sorting bits and pieces out over the last few weeks.

Did a bottom end rebuild last weekend. New shells (Mains & Big Ends) High flow diesel pump and a new relief valve. Its good to have lots of pressure again. Was always down since the head cracked and contaminated the oil with a bit of water. Think the 200k mile old pump didn't like that.

Engine loom will be stripped this weekend as the start of fitting the Standalone.

Got an Emerald K6 ECU with much larger new injectors and all the bits I need for the conversion.

Got a deadline though: Mapping will be done by Dave Walker (the mapping king!) on 23rd July. I'll try to remember to take lots of pics and post up the RR readouts :?
