I got quoted ONE THOUSAND AND SEVEN HUNDRED POUNDS just for a manifold last week!

I didn't go for it.

Thank you for your enquiry for an exhaust for your E21, you certainly have a nice example there. It will have to be treated as a one off. As such we would need the car here to do the work and the cost I estimate will be £1700 + VAT to fabricate and fit a 6-2-1 manifold for your car. This consists of 23 hours of labour at £60 + VAT/hour and £320 + VAT for the materials. We could of course link the manifold in the most efficient way to your existing system.

Starts at $1500 here for a custom set of headers too, tuned / equal length or seriously tight spaces and it goes up. Was going to be about $4000 to do a complete custom system on the JPS in stainless, front to back. Not cheap down here either :o

supersprint exhaust

Post by S-14/E-21 »

Hello,

I know we are still waiting on more information on this exhaust...
Can we find out the sizing of the twin piping, and if it will merge
into one over the axel, and if so the size of that pipe as well?
(Front muffler section)

Thanks,
Phil

Supersprint e21 323i exhaust photos

Post by al@bmp »

We have these photos of the exhaust components. When they were first developed the popular choice was quad tips. I also agree that now with more of the vehicles heading down the road of restoration, a single 60mm chrome plated tip would look better.
We are currently looking for all the tooling involved.
