-----------------------
I had to get a daily driver when restoring the E28 and E21.
I originally looked for a Chevrolet Caprice Classic, but the one I wanted was (un)fortunately(?) sold. I started looking for other reasonably priced cars and found a 1986 Mercedes-Benz 300SE about 20 minutes from where I live. I called the owner and went to look at it 15 minutes later.
It looked quite ok. The seller told me everything he knew that was wrong with the car. Some rust, but none in dangerous places. The idle that was quite high sometimes, broken sunroof (but stays closed) and a struggling
I called him the next day and said it was mine.
I got 8 extra wheels, 2 boxes with parts (relays, ECU, AFM etc.) and a lot of documents on how to fix vacuum leaks on the central locking system, idling adjustments etc. I haven't looked through everything yet
I'm really pleased with the car, even though it died when putting it in D at a traffic light. I got the passengers to push my car to the nearest parking lot... And then they went to a restaurant to buy food
Someone mentioned the fuel-pump relay, so I changed it (was in the box with the ECU and other relays). And it worked
When I got it it looked like this:

And now it looks like this:

Haven't tried tinting the rear windshield yet, but I have to do it soon.
I'm also looking for 16" Mercedes/AMG Penta wheels. Just to keep it right for it's time. I've also considered 17" old monoblock wheels, but I like the pentas better.
And white blinkers is coming soon
