Re: fuel gauge issues...
yea. you need to take each fuse out, then with a small bit of sandpaper give each terminal a clean, or go maplin. buy electronic contact cleaner then spray the whole can on it!

Re: fuel gauge issues...
It would be fuse number 14. But if this is the problem some other things must not work also.
The things for fuse 14 are:
*All the warninglights of the dash.
*Temp. gauge.
*reverselights
*Rev.meter.
What i had more than once is that the ground contact behind the dash is oxidated. Once it was a problem at the levelmeasurement at the fueltank.

Re: fuel gauge issues...
about every third time i check the levels, i take the fuse box lid off and give all the fuses a few twists each!

Re: fuel gauge issues...
I'm still hunting for brass or copper bullet fuses as a solution to the corrosion.

I am having a similar problem also with my fuel guage and rev counter. All the needles go crazy up and down etc mainly the fuel guage- How can I locate and identify the ground contact behind the dash?Peter V. wrote:It would be fuse number 14. Re: fuel gauge issues...
Where can I buy bullet fuses? I've not had one go in the past 14 months but I don't have any spares so I think it's only a matter of time now.. Had a look on ebay but couldn't see owt.
