Hi, have just got my car back after being resprayed and would like to know how long before i can wash and what should i use? How log before i can polish it? Is anyone into car detailing, thanks Andy

should be ok to wash and polish it straight away.
mine was waxed by the bodyshop after painting to give it a
protective layer before i got it back :shake

Yeah they say a couple of weeks, but ovenbake and modern finishes. Should be fine.Why would you want to polish it? It will be freshly buffed and there is no need. Unless you want to do something similar to this guy.

That's what you call detailing!
It was just dusty i didn't realise, it had a 100 mile journey home from paint shop, i gave it a quick wash and it looks good.
By the way its a 2002, e21 going in soon. (under cover in photo)

More pictures at this link, (hope it works)
Painting done at a garage in Bristol , came and collected car and delivered back and still worked cheaper than getting it done locally. Still have to get 2 more done this year, ae21 and a Pug205 gti. Thanks
