316 1.8 M10 110,000 miles
Engine is well worn, but sturdy. Gonna do a post winter service soon and I always end up humming and 'arring on the oil aisle.
Which oil would you recommend?

Millers. I wouldn't use a synthetic oil either, stick to a quality mineral oil.

I'm keen on Castrol classic 20W50, a decent quality mineral oil. Some may say it's a bit thick, but it noticeably quietened my engine old 150,000 mile engine down and the oil pressure warning light which used to stay on for a few seconds after starting up, didn't stay on at all. I'm using it my rebuilt 2L M10 now.

i use shell helix 10w40 323i, but i cant recommend because i dont know the difference in mineral and synthetic. I just use shell helix cuz it was mentioned in some other topics as good oil for m20 and the previous owner used it/
